Description
ATTN HANDLERS: you can only enter one dog. There is a limit of six dogs/handlers per class.

LOCATION: Carbondale Rodeo grounds on Catherine Store
TIME: Saturday, July 25, 2020 10:00am-12:00pm (handlers should arrive no later than 9:30am for check in)
DEADLINE: Pre-register no later than 4pm Friday 7/24
FEES: There is a $10 fee. Handlers can only enter one dog.
There will be SIX (6) classes NOT including the finals. All dogs will be judged using a point system based on a scale from 1-5 (1 is best, 5 is worst). Each class will have 7-8 categories that the dogs will be judged on including a few categories specific to each class.
All dogs in every class will be judged on the following:
* Overall etiquette in class
* Performance of one unique trick
* Obedience during a group activity
* Canine Combos (number of different relatives)
PLEASE STAY UNTIL NOON because there will be a BEST and WORST in show category at the end where the best and worst in each class will compete (see below). Each of the 6 classes will last about the same amount of time.
WORST & BEST IN SHOW
The dogs with the most points and least number of points will compete in this final class, where the Worst in Show will be the champ and the Best in Show will be the runner-up. Prizes will be awarded for both!
WORST & BEST-DRESSED HANDLER COMPETITION
Handlers, get creative with your outfits as we will also have a "Worst-Dressed" and "Best-Dressed" Handler category if you would like to participate.
Handlers should bring a water bowl for their dog as well as a leash because all dogs will have to be on leashes at all times. Don't forget to bring treats for your amazing dog!
MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL HANDLERS!
Social distancing at this outdoor location is also enforced. There is a limit of six dogs/handlers per class.
Please do not come to the event if you are feeling ill or have symptoms. Your $10 fee will be refunded.
