Summary
Carbondale Arts is pleased to announce our 4th Annual Artist Fellowship Program (AFP), consisting of two artist grant opportunities: The Alleghany Meadows Fellowship and The Carbondale Arts Fellowship. The AFP is for artists and creatives of any genre, who need some funding to help them further their career, their art, or their ideas. The criteria is fairly open for these grants, and any artist residing within a ZIP code beginning with "816" may apply.
We believe that there is great value in fostering creativity and inspiration. These grants help further the mission of Carbondale Arts (building community through art) and the mission of the Carbondale Creative District (nurturing a vibrant Carbondale community through creative industry, collaboration and artistic exploration). These grants are highly competitive; thorough, passionate and well thought out responses are encouraged when filling out the application.

Carbondale Arts se complace en anunciar nuestro 4to Programa Anual de Becas para Artistas (PBA), que consiste de dos oportunidades para becas: Las Becas “Alleghany Meadows” y las Becas “ Carbondale Arts”. El PBA es para artisas y creadores de cualquier género que necesitan algunos fondos que les ayuden a continuar sus carreras, su arte, o sus ideas. Los criterios son bastante abiertos para estos fondos, y cualquier artista que viva en el área con código postal que empiece con “816” puede aplicar.
Creemos que hay un gran valor en fomentar la creatividad y la inspiración. Estas becas ayudan a promover la misión de Carbondale Arts (construir comunidad a través del arte) y la misión de el Distrito Creativo de Carbondale (fomentar una comunidad vibrante en Carbondale por medio de la industria creativa, la colaboración y la exploración artística). Estas becas son altamente competitivas; animanos a los participantes a presentar respuestas exhaustivas y bien pensadas cuando llenen las solicitudes.

This is the application form for The Carbondale Arts Fellowship (applications for The Alleghany Meadows Fellowship may be found here).
Please read the following instructions, requirements, and important dates when completing this application. Email questions to Carbondale Arts Executive Director, Staci Dickerson at staci@carbondalearts.com. Applicants must be living in a ZIP code beginning with "816".
The deadline for this application is Friday, May 20 by 5:00pm.
The Carbondale Arts Fellowship awards up to $1,000 and is geared toward emerging artists looking to further their artistic career. Some possible uses for this grant are: continuing education, purchasing supplies, developing a body of work, creating a website. The Carbondale Arts mission is, “building community through art” with a focus on providing support and opportunity for local artists. This grant calls to local emerging artists to make the step toward a more solid involvement in the arts. Funded by Carbondale Arts.
