53rd Mountain Fair Valley Artists' Booth Application 2024

ELIGIBILITY
Once accepted, all participating artists must be current members of Carbondale Arts (see Booth Fee below) and reside in an 816 ZIP code area. Submissions must be your own handmade (not manufactured, not imported) work. Criteria for judging include quality and uniqueness of items. Applications are due by Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

BOOTH FEE
A $50 booth fee will be due upon acceptance, and Carbondale Arts will keep a 25% commission of your sales during the fair. Any late applications will be juried against the existing waitlist only if space becomes available. All applicants (once accepted) must join or renew as current members of Carbondale Arts. You may join or renew online at our website. Again, current memberships are not required until after acceptance.

BOOTH INFO
Craft and food vendors will all be located in Sopris Park. The Valley Artists' Booth will be located by the Cantina in the middle of the park, and we'll have the same tent size as in other years (approx 20'x30'). Approximately 15 artists will be accepted, as space within the tent is limited. Carbondale Arts will provide the tent, Pro Panels (a free-standing display system used at art festivals), and a variety of pedestals. Artists are responsible for installing their own display on Thursday afternoon (7/25), take-down on Sunday by 5pm (7/28), and working two 2-hour shifts in the booth during the 3-day fair (7/26 - 7/28). DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS
All 2D artwork should be “gallery ready” (ready to hang with wire preferred). Everything for sale inside the booth MUST have a visible price affixed to each piece. A completed inventory list with artist’s name and contact information will be required at least 2 weeks before the fair.

PAYMENT FOR YOUR SALES
Carbondale Arts will issue checks within 30 days of the end of Mountain Fair, but no sooner than 7 days after the end of the fair.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE / REJECTION
We will notify you by email no later than Friday, May 17.

ELEGIBILIDAD

TARIFA DEL ESTAND
Se debe pagar una tarifa para el estand de $50 al ser aceptados, y Carbondale Arts conservará un 25% de comisión por sus ventas durante la feria. Cualquier solicitud tardía será considerada tomando en cuenta la lista de espera solamente si hay algún espacio disponible. Todos los solicitantes aceptados deben afiliarse o renovar como miembros actuales de Carbondale Arts. Usted puede incorporarse o renovar su membresía en línea en nuestro sitio web. Una vez más, la afiliación actual no es necesaria hasta después de la aceptación.

INFORMACIÓN DEL ESTAND
Todos los vendedores de artesanía y comida estarán situados en Sopris Park. La caseta de los Artistas del Valle estará situada junto a la Cantina, en el centro del parque y tendremos la carpa con las mismas dimensiones de otros años (aproximadamente 20´ x 30´). Aproximadamente 15 artistas serán aceptados, ya que el espacio dentro del estand es limitado. Carbondale Arts proveerá la carpa, los paneles profesionales (un sistema independiente para exposiciones usado en los festivales de arte), y una variedad de pedestales. Los artistas son responsables de instalar sus propias obras el jueves en la tarde (7/25), de desmontarlas el domingo antes de las 5 pm (7/28), y de trabajar dos turnos de 2 horas en el estand durante los tres días de la feria (7/26 – 7/28).  Usted puede ver imágenes del Estand de Artistas del Valle del 2021 aquí.

REQUISITOS PARA LA EXHIBICIÓN
Todos los trabajos de arte en 2D deberán estar “listos para la galería” (listos para ser colgados con alambre preferiblemente). Todo lo que sea para vender dentro del estand DEBE tener un precio visible adjunto a cada pieza. Se les solicitará un inventario completo con el nombre del artista y la información de contacto por lo menos 2 semanas antes de la feria.

PAGOS POR SUS VENTAS
Carbondale Arts emitirá los cheques dentro de 30 días siguientes a la terminación de la Feria de la Montaña, pero no antes de 7 días después de la terminación de la Feria.

NOTIFICACIÓN DE ACEPTACIÓN / RECHAZO
Nosotros le notificaremos por correo electrónico a más tardar el viernes 17 de mayo.
