Carbondale Arts Artist Fellowship Program 2024

The Carbondale Arts Fellowship will award $8,000 in scholarships in 2024; four successful applicants will each receive one $2,000 award. This fellowship was created to honor the legacy of Allegheny Meadows by an anonymous donor and is now supported by the Wolfpack Foundation and Carbondale Arts event supporters. This fellowship can help an artist develop a vision, buy supplies, or rent rehearsal/studio space; it can help with residency/workshop fees or for marketing purposes. The uses are limitless, but the requests should be specific. Successful grant applications have a very clear explanation of how the funds will be used and how the funds will make something possible that may not otherwise be possible. These grants help further the mission of Carbondale Arts (building community through art), the mission of the Carbondale Creative District (nurturing a vibrant Carbondale community through creative industry, collaboration and artistic exploration), and honor Alleghany Meadows, who has contributed so much to furthering the arts in Carbondale. 

We believe that there is great value in fostering creativity and inspiration. These grants help further the mission of Carbondale Arts (building community through art), the mission of the Carbondale Creative District (nurturing a vibrant Carbondale community through creative industry, collaboration and artistic exploration) and honoring Alleghany Meadows who has contributed so much to furthering the arts in Carbondale. These grants are highly competitive; thorough, passionate and well thought-out responses are encouraged when filling out the application.

The deadline for applications is Monday, June 03, by 5pm.

La Beca de Artes de Carbondale otorgará $8,000 en becas en 2024; cuatro solicitantes exitosos recibirán cada uno una beca de $2,000. Esta beca fue creada para honrar el legado de Allegheny Meadows por un donante anónimo y ahora es apoyada por la Fundación Wolfpack y los colaboradores de eventos de Carbondale Arts. Esta beca puede ayudar a un artista a desarrollar una visión, comprar suministros o alquilar espacio de ensayo/estudio; puede ayudar con tarifas de residencia/taller o para fines de marketing. Los usos son ilimitados, pero las solicitudes deben ser específicas. Las solicitudes de subvención exitosas tienen una explicación muy clara de cómo se utilizarán los fondos y cómo los fondos harán posible algo que de otra manera no sería posible. Estas subvenciones ayudan a promover la misión de Carbondale Arts (construir comunidad a través del arte), la misión del Distrito Creativo de Carbondale (fomentar una comunidad vibrante de Carbondale a través de la industria creativa, la colaboración y la exploración artística), y honrar a Alleghany Meadows, quien ha contribuido tanto a promover las artes en Carbondale.
